AUM POINTS - The Soul

We were out to supper the other night and Thomas spied this poster hanging on the wall of the restaurant. I took this picture of it. There was no information about the artist printed on the poster so I can't give any credits. I am assuming it is a Haida sculpture. Thomas tells me this is pure Huna and I'm sure he will add his thoughts to this post. What intrigues me about this sculpture is the man who is kneeling on top of the what appears to be a large whale. In Huna he would represent Lono, or the conscious mind, and he is perched atop the vast unconscious mind, or Ku.

Today while I was cleaning up the house I began thinking about this artwork and what I would say in this post. I had a large binder in my living room filled with transcripts of channelled sessions myself and three others had done with a Huna entity named Aum back in the mid 1980's. I had what I would call a 'gentle pointing' to scan these transcripts for a quote from Aum. (By way of explanation, I would describe this pointing as a particular feel that certain thoughts have when they pass through my stream of consciousness. They stand out amongst the crowd, so to speak, as if all my thoughts are blue and then a few green ones stream by. They just catch my attention. )

Here's what I found:

Question:
Could you define the relationship [of] the Inner Self [Ku] to the soul?

Aum:

The soul is three-fold and the inner self is part. The inner self is not a good phrase, for all soul is in it. It does the job of helping you to see it.

Consider, there is the lower area, the middle area and the upper area. You can label any or all of them, by colour, by name, by definition, by function, by which way the wind blows. It matters not.

Remember there are these three parts that co-exist, they have their tasks, their responsibilities, their inter-dependence...and only in being aware of all do you begin to function as a complete soul in your entity, in your body, in your current existence. And appreciating the inspiration of the higher self, a striving of the middle self (the consciousness if you will), the beautiful, smooth, automatic functioning, questing and incredible memory banks of the lower self....when all are brought in to play...then you will move.

All are important and the conscious self will with care, learn to draw on the resources of the others...and know them and love them and help them and be helped by them.

The soul is three-fold and the conscious is part of that three-fold - not apart, not separate. The conscious is not of the body. The conscious is of the soul.
